When a company that has always adopted phytocosmetics decides to venture into the organic field, it must do so in a completely open, transparent and responsible manner. Our Bio+ range was developed taking these key words into account, which allowed us to realize our dream, without compromise.
Our formulations
The Bio+ range is certified and guaranteed by Cosmos Organic, which sets the standards for organic cosmetics in Europe and beyond. This certification is granted when the entire supply chain complies with the following standards: respect for biodiversity, sustainability, responsible use of natural resources and respect for human health and the environment.
Our packaging
Our boxes are made from ecological and biodegradable paper based on Shiro algae, which is recycled using an innovative process. Made from algae harvested from the Venice Lagoon, this paper is also FSC certified. We adopted this approach on the one hand because of the innovative nature of the product and, on the other hand, to pay homage to Venice: a city symbol of beauty, which is just one example of the many wonders for which the Italy is known all over the world. Additionally, no varnish or glue dots are used in the manufacturing of our boxes, the leaflet has been eliminated and the packaging itself has been transformed into a fully writable surface that provides all the necessary information.
Our certifications
Our BIO+ cosmetics are also certified vegan, which guarantees compliance with the principles of vegan living; rigorous controls which not only attest to the non-animal origin of raw materials, but also exclude any traces of ingredients of animal origin in the raw material sourcing process.
Plant-based plastic
Our jars and droppers are made of “ultra-light” glass, with low environmental impact and easy to recycle. Our tubes are made of bioplastic vegetable PE, which considerably reduces CO2 emissions, and bear the “I'm green” logo. This type of plastic is made from non-GMO sugarcane grown in Brazil. Our Beauty Tin was created so that you can purchase an organic product in packaging that can be reused as a jewelry box, button box or trinket box, with the utmost respect for the environment.

We have always thought that the should guide our choices.
Our Summer Paradise range has been developed following research into the best environmental profile; an innovative sun protection system composed of three chemical sunscreens that are up to 75% biodegradable.
Packaging
For the production of the tubes, we chose Braskem, a renewable material of biological origin. The use of polyethylene derived from sugar cane during the production cycle helps reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The solar display was designed to eliminate polystyrene and favor recyclable corrugated cardboard. We have also chosen to exclude the box and instructions to reduce environmental impact and waste.
Active ingredients from fair trade
VAGHEGGI Phytocosmetici applies rigorous fair trade policies when selecting its raw materials. To do this, it relies on suppliers who comply with national and international laws that preserve employment in local communities and keep traditional harvesting and processing alive. Murumuru butter: Murumuru butter is rich in unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid (omega-9) and linoleic acid (omega-6), which protect, repair and elasticize the skin. Buriti oil: Buriti oil, rich in carotenoids and provitamin A, has antioxidant and regenerative properties. Shea butter: Shea butter has firming and anti-wrinkle properties. Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil is rich in waxy esters that nourish the skin. Commiphora mukul: its resin has slimming properties.
Antioxidant and anti-aging properties
VAGHEGGI Phytocosmetici has always formulated its solar products with the same diligence that it accords to professional cosmetic products: the main objective is to provide protection against UV rays, but the product is also a real cosmetic treatment that moisturizes, prevents and fights premature aging of the skin. The formulas provide immediate, long-term protection and hydrate the skin. They also fight oxidation and the effects of photoaging, thanks to: Vitamin E, tocopheryl acetate: powerful antioxidant properties neutralize free radicals that form during exposure to the sun and damage cells; Panthenol, provitamin b5: moisturizing, antioxidant and protective properties; Sodium hyaluronate: deeply hydrates and fills in fine lines; Beta-glucan: polysaccharide which stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and intervenes in the healing process; it therefore has excellent regenerative and anti-wrinkle properties. Beta-glucan protects against oxidative damage caused by UV rays.

There is still a long way to go to find a balance between man and the environment. The objective is to develop formulas that respect the environment and human safety. In accordance with the Hawaii Reef Bill, VAGHEGGI Phytocosmetici has developed a range of holistic and sustainable sunscreen products, selecting ingredients of plant origin and developing formulas that respect nature and optimize skin protection, while guaranteeing a safe tan and brilliant. All our solar products carry the “Amo i coralli” (“I love coral”) logo to communicate the company’s sustainable vision in response to growing ethical awareness.
Certification - ISO 22716
Certification that guarantees compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards for cosmetic products, as required by Regulation EC 1223/2009 of the European Parliament). The ISO 22716 standard is the first international document which establishes guidelines for the application of Good Manufacturing Practices by cosmetic manufacturers and constitutes the harmonized standard for the application of the provisions of Article 8 of Regulation 1223/2009; it applies to the production, control, storage and shipping processes of cosmetic products.
Certification (BIO+ Range) - COSMOS ORGANIC
Cosmos Organic sets the standards for organic cosmetics and is recognized in Europe and beyond. The Cosmos standard establishes how all new organic cosmetic products should be formulated and harmonized. The ultimate goal of the new COSMOS standard is to address key issues to protect the environment and preserve human well-being on the planet. As a common and impartial standard setter, it aims to guarantee the transition between current and future technological progress and the development of increasingly natural and organic cosmetic products. This certification is intended to be a precise and reliable point of reference for consumers who must be informed in a clear and transparent manner so that they too can participate in sustainable development during their purchases.
Certification - I'm Green
The tubes we use in our Organic range are made from plant-based PE. This bioplastic is produced by fermenting sugar from non-GMO sugar cane grown in Brazil and sourced from low-water consumption crops. The entire production cycle is then closely monitored to assess the overall environmental and social impact. This bioplastic significantly reduces CO2 emissions and does not contain components of fossil origin. Additionally, 80% of the energy used to produce bioplastic is obtained from renewable sources.
Certification - Vegan ICEA
Vegan ICEA certification guarantees compliance with the principles of vegan living. Rigorous, constant and continuous controls not only attest to the non-animal origin of the raw materials, but also exclude any traces of ingredients of animal origin in the raw material procurement process. This certification offers consumers a high-level guarantee and puts companies in the position of having to face a very strict certification process; although this proved to be very difficult, it allowed us to take another important step towards re-developing our business and establishing a culture of conscious and sustainable consumption.
Certification - FSC
FSC certification is a voluntary certification. We are proud to use boxes that meet this certification and we made this decision based on the principle that good intentions go hand in hand with concrete actions. It should be noted that, in order to achieve ever higher quality standards, FSC standards are subject to periodic review.
This underlines the commitment and interest of companies which, like VAGHEGGI Phytocosmetici, choose to adhere to this certification. The FSC logo displayed on products is known as the FSC label. These labels can only be used by certified companies on certified packaging and ensure that the product packaging you purchase is made with responsibly sourced paper.

Where do the vegetable products from VAGHEGGI Phytocosmetics? For example: The Lavender harvested in June comes from Provence in France, citrus fruits harvested in January like oranges and lemons derived from Sicile in Italy you will also find vegetal oils (eg : Olive ) cold pressed, golden chamomile, black quinoa and many other raw materials, all natural, all effective.
